Internetseminar
Das Internetseminar über Evolutionsgleichungen wird seit 1997 jährlich von einigen Arbeitsgruppen in Deutschland, Italien, Ungarn und den Niederlanden veranstaltet. Gegründet wurde es von der Arbeitsgruppe Funktionalanalysis in Tübingen. Es richtet sich an fortgeschrittene Studierende, Diplomanden und Doktoranden. Von Oktober bis Februar wird den Teilnehmern wöchentlich Studienmaterial auf einer Webseite zur Verfügung gestellt. Sie werden dabei vor Ort von lokalen Koordinatoren betreut (in Wuppertal: B. Farkas und B. Jacob). Von März bis Juni bearbeiten sie in (international gemischten) Kleingruppen je ein Projekt und tragen darüber im Juni beim Abschlussworkshop vor.

We cordially invite you to participate at the 25rd Internet Seminar.
This year's topic is "SPECTRAL THEORY FOR OPERATORS AND SEMIGROUPS" and is suited for master students, Ph.D. students and young post-docs with a basic knowledge on functional analysis and complex analysis of one variable.
As usual the ISem has three phases:
- Phase 1 (October 2021 to February 2022): A weekly lecture will be
provided via the ISem website. This material forms a proper
self-contained course with study material and exercises. There will also
be a forum to discuss the material.
- Phase 2 (March 2022 to June 2022): You will have the chance to work on
projects in small international groups. Of course, there will be a
supervisor for each project.
- Phase 3 (June 20 to June 25, 2022): There will be a final one-week
workshop in Salerno (Italy), where the project
teams of Phase 2 will present their projects and additional lectures
will be delivered by leading experts.
Student participants as well as local coordinators are kindly asked to
register under the website
Registration will open by the first of September and will be possible until the
mid/end of October.
