Welcome to the home page of the Functional Analysis Group. Here you will find information about our teaching and research activities.

Broadly speaking, our research concerns functional analytic methods for dynamical systems and partial differential equations. Particular strengths include control theory, port-Hamiltonian systems, long-term behavior of semigroups of positive operators, and the structure and ergodic theory of dynamical systems. We offer courses and seminars on these themes on a regular basis.

In addition, we organize various workshops and conferences each year, together with other universities in Germany as well as from abroad. We will be glad to meet you on these occasions.
